According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Town of Verona Woman was injured in a Car Pedestrian Motor Vehicle Accident.

On October 7th, shortly before 2:00 am, Deputies responded to a One Car Motor Vehicle/ Pedestrian Accident on Beacon Light Road in the Town of Verona. Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies found that Jillian Belfance of Utica was traveling in a 2019 Jeep on Beacon Light Road, while pedestrian Ciara Bluewolf was attempting to pick up items in the roadway. Due to the pedestrian's actions, the operator of the vehicle was unable to avoid the collision and struck the pedestrian. Ciara was transported to Oneida Hospital by a private vehicle to be treated for non life threatening injuries. No citations have been issued at this time.
