October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has partnered with the YWCA Mohawk Valley for 31 Days of Domestic Violence facts.

10/26 - It is important for service providers and anyone helping survivors to recognize each person’s diverse experiences, values, and beliefs will impact how they access services. It is equally important to recognize that the cultural values of providers and service delivery systems have an effect on how services are delivered and accessed.
