According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on December 2nd, 2023, at around 6:41 pm, Deputies responded to the intersection of New Floyd Rd and Koenig Rd in the Town of Floyd, for a reported two-car motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined Jefferey Danielewicz (57) of Floyd, was driving a 2019 GMC Truck Southbound on Koenig Rd when he failed to stop at the stop sign at New Floyd Rd. As Danielewicz proceeded through the intersection, he collided with a 2020 Honda Sedan traveling East on New Floyd Rd, operated by Destiny Ketcher (25) of Arkansas. Both drivers and a passenger in Ketcher's vehicle were transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

Danielewicz was issued traffic tickets returnable to Floyd Town Court on a later date.
