According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on December 13, 2023, at about 4:50 PM, Deputies responded to State Route 69 in the town of Annsville for a reported two vehicle personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Daniel Murphy (51), of Rome, NY, was operating a 2018 Jeep East on State Route 69. Jarrett Kowalski (41), of Frankfort, NY, was operating a 2019 Dodge was traveling West on State Route 69. Murphy failed to keep right due to weather conditions and collided head-on into Kowalski's vehicle. Murphy's vehicle spun around and came to a rest facing westbound.

Kowalski was transported by AMcare Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for complaints of neck and back pain. Each vehicle contained one passenger. All others involved signed off on medical care.

Murphy was issued one citation for Failure to Keep Right returnable to Town of Annsville Court on a later date.
