According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at approximately 8:10 PM, Road Patrol Deputies responded to Horatio St and the Mulaney Rd ramp in the Town of Deerfield for a reported single-vehicle personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, it was determined that Greyson Weddle, 19, of Chappaqua, NY, was operating a 2015 Subaru Legacy Northbound on Horatio St in the Town of Deerfield, when Weddle's vehicle exited the Western shoulder of the Mulaney Rd ramp and became airborne, striking a small tree before going down an embankment and striking a chain-link fence. Weddle complained of leg and neck pain and was transported by Kunkel Ambulance to Wynn Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Weddle was issued citations returnable to Deerfield Town Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by members of the Deerfield Fire Department, Kunkel Ambulance, the New York State Police, and Beacon Body Shop.
