On February 13, 2024 at about 830am, Deputies assigned to the Oneida County Office Building located a person at the security check point that was in possession of a white powder substance.

Vinford Michael Jr 59, of Utica claimed the substance to be Cocaine. When tested, the substance came back positive for Fentanyl.

Michael was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. He was transported to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Building for processing.

He was released on appearance ticket returnable in the City of Utica at a later date.
