According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a Utica man was arrested for violating an Order of Protection at the Oneida County Jail.

On 02/17/2024 at about 6:30PM, Patrol Deputies were alerted that Jeremy Ibanez, age 39 of Utica NY, was in the lobby of the Oneida County Jail in the Town of Whitestown. Ibanez was previously arrested on 02/05/2024 for Stalking charges against a Corrections Officer at the Jail and was issued an Order of Protection, ordering him to stay away from the person, residence, and place of employment of the Officer. Ibanez was lodged at the Madison County Jail on the Stalking charge until he posted bail.

After posting bail Ibanez responded to the Oneida County Jail where he was located sitting in the lobby. Ibanez was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in CAP Court and remained to the Oneida County Jail on $7,500 cash bail and $15,000 Bond.
