According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M Maciol, at approximately 3:45 PM, February 23, 2024, a traffic stop was conducted on W. Bacon St in the Village of Waterville. Investigators with the OCSO Narcotics Unit and OCSO Road Patrol seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl residue. As a result of the traffic stop, 39 year old Jesse Haffelin of North Brookfield was arrested.

Investigators with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit charged Haffelin with the below felony and misdemeanor narcotics related offenses.

Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 3rd (intent to sell over 1/8 oz) – B Felony

Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 5th (intent to sell) – D Felony

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th – A Misdemeanor

This is Hafelin’s second felony arrest by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office in the month of February.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Patrol was assisted by the Sheriff’s Office Forensic ID Unit and New York State Police K-9 “RYA”.
