According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a 35 year old male and a 38 year old male were injured in a two car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Judd Road and Base Road in the Town of Whitestown.

On March 3rd, 2024 at about 10:58 pm, Deputies responded to the intersection of Judd Road and Base Road in the Town of Whitestown for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Subsequent to an investigation, Deputies determined that Patrick J. Iwanyszyn, age 38, was operating a 2004 Mercury sedan in a northwesterly direction on Judd Road in the Town of Whitestown, and while Iwanyszyn was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Base Road, Iwanyszyn failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. Due to Iwanyszyn failing to yield the right of way, Iwanyszyn crossed into the oncoming lane and pulled in front of a 2014 Toyota Sedan being operated by 35 year old G. Gancitano, resulting in a head on collision with heavy damage to both vehicles. Both Iwanyszyn and Gancitano sustained minor injuries from the crash and were evaluated and transported to the hospital.

No citations have been issued at this time, as the investigation is still pending.
