According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a 28 year old male and a 19 year old female were injured in a One Car Motor Vehicle Accident on Rome Taberg Road in the City of Rome.

On Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at about 3:49 am, Deputies responded to Rome Taberg Road in the City of Rome for a One Car Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Accident. Deputies determined that Brian Ciulla of Camden was traveling west on Rome Taberg Road in his 2022 Ford Pickup before exiting the roadway and colliding with a telephone pole. Ciulla's vehicle was overturned during the collision, and both Ciulla and his passenger were removed by the Rome Fire Department utilizing the jaws of life. The passenger of Ciulla's vehicle, Samantha Sadler, from West Windfield, was transported by AmCare Ambulance to the Wynn Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Ciulla also received treatment for non life threatening injuries at the Wynn Hospital.

Ciulla was issued a citation returnable to the Rome City Court on a later date.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Amcare Ambulance, the City of Rome Fire Department, and the New York State Police.
