According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol on May 21st, 2024, Stephen A. Leuenberger, 35 of Frankfort, was arrested for Attempted Robbery in the 2nd degree and Assault in the 2nd degree, both class D felonies.

At approximately 6:30 PM on May 20, 2024, Leuenberger was involved in a physical altercation with his boss over money. During the dispute, it is alleged that Leuenberger struck his boss in the head with a frying pan while demanding that he give him money. Following the altercation, both parties were transported to the Wynn Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released later that night. After an investigation into the matter by OCSO patrol deputies and the criminal investigation unit, Leuenberger was arrested, booked, and transported to the Oneida County Jail to await arraignment at Oneida County CAP Court.
