According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on June 18th, 2024, at around 11:36 am, Road Patrol Deputies responded to Bartlett Road in the City of Rome for a reported rollover one car motor vehicle accident.

Patrol Deputies determined after investigation that the juvenile operator of a 2008 Kia SPC was northerly on Bartlett Road at a high rate of speed when the vehicle exited the roadway, struck a ditch off the western shoulder of the roadway and then came to a rest on its roof. The operator was transported to Wynn Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries received from the accident. A passenger in the vehicle was evaluated on scene by Rome Fire and signed off.

Patrol Deputies were assisted on scene by the City of Rome Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance.
