The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office participated in an “Operation Hard Hat” detail that was conducted on Tuesday, 6/11/24. The detail ran from around 0800-1230 on Route 12 in Mapledale. A total of 29 tickets were issued for VTL violations such as move over, cell phone usage, and speed in a work zone.

Throughout construction season, maintenance and work crews are out on the road performing repairs and improvements to ensure roads are safe for motorists. All drivers should be prepared to reduce speeds and to be alert when passing through work zones.
