According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, there was a Two Car Motor Vehicle accident on State Route 840 and Clark Mills Road in the Town of Whitestown at around 4:29 PM on June 23, 2024.

The Chevy pickup was operated by Tyler Vanetten and a Kia Soule was operated by Susan Kirch. Susan was operating her 2016 Kia Soule in a Northerly direction on State Route 840 while Tyler was traveling in a Westerly direction on Clark Mills Road. When crossing the intersection of 840 the Chevy pickup was struck by the Kia Soule that did not stop for the red light. Susan was transported by Central Oneida County Ambulance to The Wynn with head injuries. Susan was issued a ticket for passing a red signal returnable to Whitestown Court on a later date. The Oneida County Sheriff’s was assisted by The New York State Police, Clarkmills Fire Department, and Central Oneida County Ambulance.
