According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, there was an ATV accident on Norton Road and Houck Road in the Town of Vernon at around 6:24 PM on July 7, 2024. The ATV was being operated in a Southerly Direction by Ronald Judge (66 years old) and occupied by Billie Judge (67 years old) of Vernon. The ATV left the roadway causing it to roll onto its side ejecting both occupants. Due to injuries sustained by both parties, Ronald was transported to Upstate by Vineall Ambulance and Billie was transported to The Wynn by Vineall Ambulance. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The Oneida County Sheriff’s was assisted by The Vernon Fire Department, Vernon Center Fire Department, and Vineall Ambulance.
