According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, in the afternoon of July 7th, 2024, Patrol Deputies were dispatched to an address in the City of Rome for a report of a domestic dispute in progress.

At the completion of the Deputies investigation, Abraham Tomczak (40 years of age) of Rome, was taken into custody stemming from the domestic investigation for the charges of; Harassment 2nd (a Violation) and Criminal Contempt (a Class E Felony). Tomczak was transported to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Building where he was processed for the listed charges. He was then brought to CAP Court in front of the judge to be arraigned, where he was later released on his own recognizance to appear at City of Rome Court on a later date.
