According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a City of Rome man was arrested following a domestic dispute that occurred in the City of Rome.

On July 8th, 2024, Deputies responded to a physical domestic dispute that occurred on Williams Road in the City of Rome. Subsequent to their investigation, 59 year old Adam Chestnut of Rome was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, a class A misdemeanor, and one count of Harassment 2nd, a violation.

Chestnut was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing, and was turned over to the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment.
