Peter Kehoe, the Executive Director of the NYS Sheriff’s Association, officially presented the Re-Accreditation of both the Corrections Division and the Civil Division of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office to Sheriff Maciol at a ceremony today.

The presentation was done at the Oneida County Board of Legislators monthly meeting. Both divisions went through a lengthy, thorough, and extensive review of their respective policies, procedures, and operations before receiving the full re-accreditation approval.

The Sheriff’s Office is proud be one of the few Sheriff’s Offices in the state that has all three divisions (Civil, Corrections, and Law Enforcement) fully accredited through the NYS Sheriff’s Association and the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services.
