According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on August 15th, 2024, at approximately 6:45 am, Road Patrol Deputies responded to Marcy-SUNY Pkway, in the Town of Marcy, for a single car motor vehicle personal injury accident involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, it was discovered by Deputies that Charles Longwell, 43, of Mohawk, was operating a 2004 Triumph Motorcycle northbound on Marcy-SUNY Pkwy, when Charles failed to maintain his lane, and left the roadway off the eastbound shoulder. Longwell suffered minor injuries and was transported to Wynn Hospital.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Kunkel Ambulance, Maynard Fire Department, and SUNY Police.
