According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on August 15, 2024, Deputies responded to 4508 State Rt. 49 in the Town of Verona to assist the New London Fire Department with a reported structure fire.

The structure is currently vacant, and it sustained limited damage due to the fire department’s response and action. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire along with State Fire.
