According to the Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on November 21st, 2018 at approximately 9:30PM, Deputies responded to a one car rollover - Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Accident on State Route 46 in the Town of Verona.

Deputy Emrah Latic reported that a Grey 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer being operated by Lisa M. Marji (42) of Canastota, was traveling Northbound on State Route 46 when she approached a curved in the roadway and lost control. Marji's vehicle continued down into a ditch and rolled over on top of her as she was partially ejected from the driver side window. Marji's vehicle then came to rest in a yard off of the roadway. Deputy Latic says, "Marji was very lucky to avoid Serious Physical Injury from the accident."

Marji was transported by AmCare ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where she was undergoing examination and being treated for her injuries. Marji was issued a citation for not wearing a seatbelt as well as failure to reduce speed to special hazards in this case being the weather and curve in the roadway.

Deputies were assisted by members of the New London Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance and Mikes Towing.
