According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff's Office is investigating a non specific bomb threat at Premier Aviation located on Hangar Rd. in Rome. On Tuesday at about 6:15 PM, members of the Sheriff's Office responded to Premier Aviation after it was reported that someone made a verbal threat to a worker at the facility. All personnel where evacuated from the building, and the building was swept with the assistance of a Sheriff's Canine. The building was cleared and people were allowed to go back to work shortly after 7:00PM. The investigation is on going and no arrests have been made at this time. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Rome Police and Federal Police.
