Oneida County Announces Civil Service Exam for Correction Officer

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol is announcing that the sign up period for the next Correction Office Exam is now open. Individuals interested in a career as a Correction Officer with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office can apply to take the exam from now through the close of business on September 28th. The test will be held on November 17th, 2018.

In order to qualify to take the exam, individuals must be at least 18 years of age, and must be a legal resident of Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, or Otsego Counties one month preceding the date of appointment.

Starting annual salary is $34,296 and after successfully completing the Corrections Training Academy or (6) months of employment, the annual salary adjusts to $40,348.
