Correction Officers awarded

Chief Deputy Greg Pflieger represented Sheriff Maciol at the Rome Wesleyan Church this morning where Correction Officers Maria Renzi and William Balsamico were honored at the church's 12th annual Law Enforcement ceremony. Officers Renzi and Balsamico were recognized for coming to the assistance of a Glenville police officer who was being physically attacked by a suspect on the side of the roadway in Glenville, NY. Because of their actions, serious personal injury to the officer was averted. Also honored today at the ceremony were Inv. Richard Galluppi and Patrolman David Salle of the Rome PD and Troopers Noah Lange and Jeff Wegrzyn of Troop D for various achievements. Congratulations to all and a job well done!
