According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a sheriff’s corrections officer has been arrested for bringing contraband into the correctional facility for inmates. Sheriff Maciol said that Sheriff’s investigators were conducting an investigation into contraband coming into the jail, and through their investigation found that an officer was bringing it in. Investigators arrested 31 year old Breland Warmack of Utica for bringing marihuana into the facility. Warmack was charged with promoting prison contraband. He will appear in Whitestown Court at a later date. The Sheriff says that the investigation is continuing.
