According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol;

On March 18, 2018 at around 1:30 a.m. a Deputy assigned to the Sheriff's Office DWI Unit attempted to stop a 2003 Lincoln being operated by a Thomas J. Pultynovich, 32, of Clinton, on State Route 365 in the Town of Verona. Pultynovich failed to comply and a vehicle pursuit ensued in which Pultynovich attempted to evade the Deputy. Pultynovich drove southerly on State Street in the Town of Vernon and struck a parked Dodge Caravan in the driveway of 1 State Street, Vernon. Pultynovich fled the scene on foot and was apprehended a short distance later by the Deputy. Pultynovich was charged with the following;

-Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor)

-Resisting Arrest (misdemeanor)

-Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd (misdemeanor)

-Operating without an Ignition Interlock (misdemeanor)

and numerous traffic infractions

Pultynovich was held at the Oneida County Jail in pre-arraignment detention to await arraignment. The Sheriff's DWI Unit was assisted by members of the Sheriff's Road Patrol and the New York State Police. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
