Falsely reporting an incident

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, a male identified as Yamil Montalvo pulled a fire alarm at the Oneida County Office Building in the City of Utica around 4:00 PM on today date. Montalvo was taken into custody for activating a fire alarm when no emergency existed. The County Building was evacuated and the Utica Fire Department responded as a precaution. No injuries were reported during this event. The investigation was later turned over to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit and Montalvo was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the second degree, a class E Felony. Montalvo was committed to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of 5,000.00 Cash Bail. He is scheduled to appear at Utica City Court on a later date.
