According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Michael Purdy, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center (CAC), a Town of New Hartford man was arrested following an investigation into the possession of child pornography. Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, who is assigned to the Child Advocacy Center and a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, conducted an investigation into a complaint assigned to him through the task force. During the investigation, a search warrant was obtained. At approximately 0730 HRS on November 30, 2018, Investigators from the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center and the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit (CCU) executed the search warrant at a residence on Brett Brae in the Town of New Hartford. As a result of the search warrant, Inv. Paravati arrested Eric E. Foster, 42, for one count of Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child, a Class E Felony. Foster was transported to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and was held pending an arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court at the Oneida County Correctional Facility. The investigation will be turned over to the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office for further review and possible further charges.
