According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Joseph A. Lisi, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a Rome man was arrested for having sexual intercourse with a child. Utica Police Investigator Frederick Bruzzese III and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Investigator C.J. Paravati, both assigned to the Child Advocacy Center, arrested Andrew Richardson, 30, for having sexual intercourse with a female child under the age of 17 while in the City of Rome. Richardson was arrested for Rape in the Third Degree, a felony. Richardson was processed and held at Rome City lockup pending an arraignment in Rome City Court. An order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim and counseling services have been offered through the Child Advocacy Center. The Child Advocacy Center was assisted by members of the Rome Police Department.
