Hogsback road fire

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on July 26, 2018 at approximately 3:30am deputies responded to 4411 Hogsback Rd in the City of Rome for a report of a vehicle fire. The fire was extinguished by members of the City of Rome Fire Department. Investigators from the Forensic Identification Unit responded to conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

The cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical in nature with no foul play suspected. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Investigators from Rome Fire Department.
