Motor vehicle accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at about 6:40 P.M., Deputies responded to Route 291 in the Town of Marcy for a two car motor vehicle accident resulting in minor injuries. An investigation revealed that Karen Fransman, 63 of Stittville was driving her 2016 white Toyota northbound on Route 291. Malcolm Webb, 19 of Rome was driving his 2008 white Chevrolet pickup eastbound on Mill Street with a front seat passenger when he failed to yield the right away at the intersection of Mill Street and Route 291 and struck Fransman vehicle. Fransman and Webb were transported to St Lukes Hospital by Kunkel Ambulance where they were treated for minor injuries. Webb was issued a traffic summons returnable to Marcy Town Court and is to appear at a later date. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Stittville Fire Department and Kunkel Ambulance.
