According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on 7/24/2018 at about 4:50 pm, Deputies responded to Route 31 in the Town of Verona for a two car motor vehicle accident resulting in injuries. An investigation revealed that Rene Sejthen, 42 of Blossvale along with his passenger, Kristine Lier, 21 of Blossvale was driving a 2011 RAM pickup northbound on Route 31. Alexandria Schrader, 17 of Oneida was driving a 2007 Honda Civic westbound on Sarenski road when she failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of Route 31 and Sarenski roadwhich caused Sejthen's vehicle to strike Schrader's vehicle. Sejthen, Schrader and Lier were all transported to Oneida City Hospital by Vineall Ambulance for their injuries. Schrader was issued a traffic summons returnable to Verona Town Court and is to appear at a later date. The Oneida County Sheriff's office was assisted on scene by Vineall Ambulance and the Verona Fire Department.
