Motor vehicle accident

According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, on September 19, 2018 at about 12:55 PM Deputies responded to the scene of a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident on Route 46 in the Town of Verona. Deputies reported that a Fedex Truck being operated by David Flanders, 54 of Syracuse, was stopped on the northbound shoulder of State Route 46. As a Dodge Charger operated by Brian McNally, 36 of Rome, approached from the south Flanders’ vehicle re-entered traffic which resulted in McNally’s vehicle colliding with it. McNally was later transported by private vehicle to a local hospital for evaluation of minor injuries. Flanders was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield the right of way.
