According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at about 2:15 P.M., Deputies responded to Fuller Rd. in the Town of Steuben for a two car motor vehicle accident resulting in minor injuries. An investigation revealed that Manuel Raposo, 42 of Holland Patent was driving his 1991 white Dodge pickup eastbound on Fuller Rd. Carol Esch, 62 of Remsen was driving her 2005 red Pontiac SUV southbound on Sixty Rd. when she failed to yield the right away at the intersection of Sixty Rd. and Fuller Rd. and struck Raposos vehicle. Esch was transported to St. Lukes Hospital by Star Ambulance where she was treated for minor injuries. Esch was issued a traffic summons returnable to Stueben Town Court and is to appear at a later date. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Remsen Fire Department and Star Ambulance.
