Motor vehicle accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol on November 1, 2018 at about 3:37 PM deputies responded to the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Oriskany Road and Joe Kelly Memorial Boulevard in the Town of Marcy.

Deputies reported that a 2004 Jeep being operated by W. David Burk, 63 of Lee Center, was stopped at the intersection of Oriskany Road and Joe Kelly Memorial Blvd. Burk proceeded into the intersection failing to yield to a 2010 Toyota being operated by Jennifer Mangio, 29 of Rome, resulting in Mangio’s vehicle colliding with Burk’s.

Mangia was transported via Kunkel Ambulance to St. Luke’s Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries.

Burk was issued a traffic citation for Failure to Yield Right of Way.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the Rome Police Department, Stittville Fire Department and Kunkel Ambulance Service.
