Motor vehicle accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; On Wednesday November 14th, 2018, a Utica man was injured in a 1 vehicle motor vehicle accident. At around 04:30 am, deputies responded to the accident on State Route 49 in the Town of Marcy.

An investigation into the accident revealed that Dennis Allen, of Utica NY, was driving a 2005 Lincoln Aviator Westbound on State Route 49. Allen drove off the southern shoulder of State Route 49 striking a Guide rail.

During the collision, Allen received apparent minor injuries to his leg and was transported by AMCARE Ambulance to St Luke's Hospital for further evaluation.

Allen was issued a traffic ticket for unsafe lane change which is returnable to Marcy Town Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Maynard Fire Department and AMCARE Ambulance.
