Motor vehicle accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert M. Maciol deputies responded to the area of State Route 26 and Thomas Drive in the Town of Lee for a reported 1-car MVA just before 4 PM this afternoon. Deputies determined that Jordan Accuri, 18 of Rome was traveling northbound on State Route 26 and as she was attempting to turn onto Thomas Drive she lost control of her 2006 Mazda SUV. Ms. Accuri struck a stop sign and then a tree causing her vehicle to come to rest just before a concrete wall. Accuri was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for her injuries by AmCare Ambulance. Accuri was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash which prevented any serious injuries.

Accuri was issued a citation for failure to keep right and is set to appear in the Town of Lee Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by NYSP, AmCare Ambulance and Lake Delta Fire Department.
