Motor vehicle accident in the Town of Annsville

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol the Sheriff’s office responded to a one car property damage accident on Willson Road East in the Town of Annsville. The accident occurred at 10:06PM, just west of Coal Hill Road located on Willson Road East. Deputies on scene stated that the vehicle involved was a Gray 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier operated by Emily Martin 19 of Camden. Deputies stated that Martin was driving in a southern direction on Willson Road East, when Martin lost control on a curve. Martin exited the southern shoulder of the roadway striking a embankment and a stone wall, causing the vehicle to overturn before coming to a rest on private property. Michael Atkinson 22, of Kirkville, Michaela Scovil 18, and Mandy Scovil 16 both of Camden were all passengers of the vehicle at the time of the accident. All occupants of the vehicle were transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for an evaluation of minor injuries. Martin was issued traffic summons for VTL section 1180D and VTL section 1128C. Martin is scheduled to return to Town of Annsville court at a later date.

Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by the New York State Police, Members of the Taberg Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance.
