Annsville Man Injured in Single Car Accident

According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, on September 23rd, 2018 at about 6:26PM, an Annsville man was injured in a one car motor vehicle accident that occurred on Taberg Florence Rd., in the Town of Florence.

According to Sheriff R. Maciol, Eric T. Russell, 27 years old, of Annsville was operating a 2013 Kia Northbound on Taberg Florence Rd., when two deer entered the roadway in front of the vehicle. Russell swerved to avoid the deer. Russell's vehicle missed the deer, but Russell lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to overturn off the side of the roadway.

Russell sustained an injury to his lower back and was transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for treatment via AmCare ambulance. The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Florence Volunteer Fire Department.
