According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, a man and woman from the City of Rome sustained minor injuries in a 1 vehicle accident in the Town of Floyd.

The accident occurred on March 11, 2018 at approximately 11:11 am when 22 year old Connar Diberardino was driving a 2016 Hyundai Elantra in a Northern direction on Camroden Road in the Town of Floyd when the vehicle left the eastern shoulder of the road, striking and severing a telephone pole before the vehicle came to rest. Diberardino and his passenger, Amanda Lloyd 19, of Rome, had minor complaints of head and neck pain on scene and were transported to Rome Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

Diberardino was arrested and issued several traffic tickets including driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation stemming from a prior DWI, both misdemeanors. Lloyd was issued a ticket for unlawful possession of Marijuana. All tickets are returnable to Floyd Town Court at a later date.

Assisting on scene were members of Floyd Volunteer Fire Department and Amcare Ambulance.
