According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, on Sunday February 25, 2018, at about 7:44 P.M., Deputies responded to the intersection of Saw Mill Rd and Sanger Hill Rd in the Town of Sangerfield, for a reported Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Accident. The investigation determined that Alexander Imperatore, 19, of Summit, New Jersey, was operating a white 2017 Mercedes Benz in a northerly direction on Saw Mill Rd. Imperatore approached the intersection with Sanger Hill Rd and failed to stop at the stop sign on Saw Mill Rd. Imperatore proceeded northerly through the intersection, and struck a ditch, located on the north shoulder of Sanger Hill Rd, before coming to a rest.

Passengers Ellie Krause, 18, of St. Louis, Missouri; Mickey Sacks, 18, of Demarest, New Jersey; and Kimberly Williams, 19, of St. Louis, Missouri, were all transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Imperatore was not injured in the incident. Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by members of the Oriskany Falls Fire Department, Central Oneida County Ambulance, and Madison Ambulance. Imperatore was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign, returnable to Sangerfield Town Court at a later date.
