Motor vehicle accident in the town of Verona

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; On February 4th, 2018 at approximately 08:37AMDeputies responded to State Route 31 in the Town of Verona for a single car motor vehicle accident resulting in an injury.

An investigation revealed that Matthew A. Spaulding, 28 of Clinton was driving his 2016 Dodge Dart northbound on State Route 31 when he failed to maintain his lane and left the east shoulder of the roadway. Spaulding's vehicle struck a utility pole before coming to rest.

Spaulding was transported by Vineall Ambulance to Oneida City Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by the Verona Fire Department and Vineall ambulance.

Spaulding was issued a traffic summons returnable to the Town of Verona Court at a later date.
