New Hartford man arrested

According to Oneida County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Michael Purdy, Director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center(CAC), a Town of New Hartford man was arrested December 7, 2018 for having sexual intercourse with a female child. Oneida County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Melissa Bolton, who is assigned to the CAC, arrested Clayton Hunt, age 19, for having sexual intercourse with a female child under the age of 15 while in the Town of Westmoreland. Hunt was charged with Rape in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony. Hunt is currently being held pending arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court at the Oneida County Correctional Facility. The victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
