ONEIDA MAN ARRESTED FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING A YORKVILLE CHILD IN 2013 Oneida County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi, Law Enforcement Coordinator at the Child Advocacy Center, said that an Oneida man was arrested after sexually abusing a child in Yorkville NY. Jake William Meyers 23, of Oneida was arrested on May 14, 2018 at his home by Rome Police Detective E.A. D’Alessandro and Sheriff’s Inv. Melissa Bolton. According to D’Alessandro, a lengthy investigation revealed that Meyers sexually abused a female child under the age of 11, at a home in Yorkville NY in 2013. D’Alessandro said Meyers was processed and arraigned at the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office in Whitestown NY, after being charged with Sexual Abuse in the first degree, a class D felony. D’Alessandro said that bail was recommended by the Oneida County District Attorney’s office in the amount of $10,000.00. An order of protection was issued for the victim. Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues, Det. D’Alessandro said. The victim has been offered counseling through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
