According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on Tuesday April 17, 2018 around 8:50 AM, a male in his 20's experienced an overdose of an unknown substance at the Oneida County Office Building. The male walked towards Sheriff's Deputies and asked for help and an ambulance before losing consciousness. Attempts to keep the male conscious were not successful. Sheriff deputies administered Naloxone to the male rendering him semi conscious until Utica Fire Department members arrived on scene. The male was transported to St. Elizabeth's hospital by the Utica Fire Department for further treatment.
