Prisoner escape update

According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol, on 08/03/2018 at approximately 12:40 PM a prisoner escaped from custody while being escorted from Utica City Court.

Raheim Bradford, 25 of Utica, NY escaped from custody after he was remanded to the Oneida County Jail by Utica City Court for a charge of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree. While being escorted to the transport van, Bradford ran from corrections deputies. He was apprehended a short time later.

Bradford was committed to the Oneida County Jail with no bail for his original charge of Grand Larceny and a warrant for a new charge of Escape in the second degree, a Class E Felony will be applied for within Utica City Court. He will have to appear there at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Utica Police Department during the escape.
