Three car motor vehicle accident

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol 1 person was injured in a 3 car motor vehicle accident in the City of Rome.

On November 22, 2018 around 11 am, Anais Western-Womack, 22 of Rome, was operating her 2014 Honda westbound on Rome-Taberg Road in the City of Rome. Western-Womack rear-ended a vehicle who was stopped and awaiting oncoming oncoming traffic. Western-Womack's vehicle pushed the second vehicle, into a third vehicle which was also stopped in traffic. Western-Womack was transported to Rome-Memorial Hospital where she was evaluated for chest pain. All others involved in the MVA were uninjured.

Western-Womack was issued a traffic ticket for following too closely, which is returnable to Rome City Court at a later date.

Members of the New York State Police, Rome Fire Department and Amcare Ambulance all assisted on scene.
