According to Oneida County Sheriff, Robert Maciol; On February 11, 2018 at about 06:30 PM, Deputies responded to Fish Creek Landing at the intersection of Old Route 49 in the Town of Vienna for a reported two car motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that Meghan Black (32), of Oriskany NY, was operating a grey 2004 Cadillac SUV West on Old Route 49 when Black lost control of her vehicle due to unsafe speed and slippery road conditions. Black’s vehicle then spun sideways across both lanes of traffic and in front of a black 2011 Mazda sedan operated by Krystal Rice (25), of Blossvale NY. Rice's vehicle then struck the rear passenger side of the Cadillac causing it to spin and exit the South shoulder of the roadway into the snow. Black and the passenger of her vehicle, a minor, were uninjured in the incident. Rice and her passenger, Christopher Fisk (27), also of Blossvale NY, were taken to Oneida City Hospital to be evaluated for minor injuries. Black was issued citations returnable to Town of Vienna court at a later date.
