Two people are facing drug charges after the Oneida County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office S.W.A.T. Team ; executed multiple "No Knock" search warrants in the City of Utica, as part of an investigation into the sales and distribution of marijuana and cocaine within the City of Utica.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, on February 9th, 2018; the "No Knock" search warrants were executed at 911 Shaw St. and 903 Nichols St. in the City of Utica. Narcotics Investigators recovered cocaine, crack-cocaine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and US currency from within the residences. Akeem Bigelow, 28 and Mahon East III, 32 are now facing drug charges following the raids. Bigelow is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and East is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 4th degree. Bigelow was arraigned in Utica City Court and is being held on $25,000 bail. East was released and is due in Utica City Court at a later date to face his charges. Additional criminal charges are pending Oneida County Grand Jury action in the case.
