UTICA MAN ARRESTED FOR THE FORCIBLE TOUCHING OF A TEEN

A Utica man has been arrested for the forcible touching of a teen girl according to Oneida County Undersheriff Joseph Lisi, coordinator of the Child

Advocacy Center.

Rome Police Detective E.A. D'Alessandro, of the CAC, and Utica Police Inv. Ray Maldonado arrested Doel Sepulveda, 38, of Utica, after a lengthy investigation into his involvement with a Utica teenager. D'Alessandro said the victim reported the inappropriate contact Sepulveda had with her in his Utica home in 2018, to the Child Advocacy Center last month. D'Alessandro charged Sepulveda with one count each of Endangering the welfare of a child and Forcible Touching, both class A misdemeanors. D'Alessandro said that Sepulveda was held in the Utica City lockup pending arraignment.

D'Alessandro formally requested an order of protection be provided for the victim against Sepulveda. He said that the victim has been offered counseling through

the child advocacy center. According to D'Alessandro more charges are possible as the investigation continues.
